Let’s Face it most days majority of us put makeup on our faces. Now some put more on than others. I have gone through many phases of foundations because well at first I didn’t know what I was doing and then I finally learned what I was doing and what I was actually looking for. I do owe my job a lot to it because they have taught me so much. A mixture of it was learning about my skin and about bowing to apply it a little better.

Now let’s talk about foundation.

I have few that I really really like and a few that I tolerate and then a few I just hate. We are going to start with which ones I hate because it will be short, mainly because I can’t remember the names of them.

Number one reason I normally hate a foundation is the fact that I am way too pale and sometimes the lightest color are not light enough. Formula wise the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able foundation isn’t my fave it can be a little drying.

The foundations I tolerate are on a day to day bases because mainly it is either I am not in the mood to work with them or they take extra work to last on my skin, especially after I started using my acne topical treatments because my skin changed big time. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD liquid is one of them. I have to be in the right mood because I always find it breaks up in my oily section. Kat Von D powder and liquid foundation. I like the powder for quick days but my oily still comes through. The liquid is a full face which I don’t always wants but I do like it! So maybe it is more of a full face day kind of piece. Lastly is the Becca Aqua Luminous foundation because of the color but this one I make work because I do love the formula.

Now to my favorites. If you are a full face gal you will notice that majority of these are not full face kind of foundations. Though I do have a few in the bank and we are going to start with those. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD stick is amazing, it goes on super easy and blends amazingly. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra is was my go to outfit shoot foundation, it lasts so long and it gives a flawless look. Too Faced Born This Way is amazing and I was so excited when they came out with lighter colors. Now on to the lighter foundations and I am just going to list them all out because they are all great formulas and it would take for EVER! NARS Velvet Matte Skin, Urban Decay Naked One&Done, IT Cosmetics CC+, L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow, and Joise Maran Vibrancy Foundation. Though dome go the colors are still not perfect I will make them work because the work fabulously with my skin! Somedays I cannot decide which one(s) are my all time favorite because I change them as often as I change my shoe faves which is a lot. BUT. I can say that when I go on trips I have been gravitating towards the IT Cosmetics and L’Oreal ones.

Now some foundations that I really want to try is the Milani Conceal+Perfect, Anastasia Stick Foundation, Hourglass stick foundation, and Make Up For Ever Water Blend Face & Body foundation. I am on the hunt for a powder foundation if any of you have any suggestions!

  • I currently use a mineral powder as my foundation. I am interested in trying the liquid with concealer that you’ve mentioned.

I haven’t tried the Naked skin product (shocking I know) but the other two I have. I have oily skin, and the IT Cosmetics one just doesn’t work well for me sadly! xx adaatude.com

    • I don’t know if you’ll like it since you have oily skin. That stinks about the IT cosmetics one. What is your favorite foundation right now??
