If you didn’t know I am a huge bargain shopper and when I heard about the Bargain Carousel of Birmingham I had to share!
Bargain Carousel is not only a bargain hunters paradise but an amazing fundraiser that supports the Birmingham Community in several ways! Who doesn’t want to find some great pieces at a great price that also gives back! Thanks to The Junior League of Birmingham whom brings the event to life! The Bargain Carousel has been deemed the ‘Largest garage sale in Birmingham’ with two distinct events! Thursday, April 21, there is the Bargain Bash which is a cocktail party that offers some first sneaks into the Bargain carousel items and some silent and live auctions to partake in. You can purchase the VIP tickets HERE with an early bird hour of shopping or general admission tickets HERE. There all also some lovely food and drinks to enjoy. All Bargain Carousel items will sell for double the ticket prices at Bargain Bash.
Saturday and Sunday is a paradise for bargain hunters with over 100,000 items to sift through, items from appliances, clothing, sporting goods, and so much more!
“‘Bargain Carousel’s purpose is two-fold,’ said JLB volunteer and Bargain Carousel chair, Haley Holden. ‘The sale raises money for the League’s 31 projects serving women and children in the metro area and it allows us to sell items at deeply discounted prices to individuals who can benefit from them.’
Both Magic Moments and Every Moment Matters will benefit from a portion of the funds raised at Bargain Carousel 2016.
‘Many people return to the event year after year,’ said Holden. ‘We have our Bargain Bash faithful who can afford to come in and buy antique pieces at double our retail price that night and we have hundreds of people who line up overnight for the general sale because they know they can get gently-used necessities at a price they can afford.'”
Bargain Carousel will be held in Hoover just off of Exit 10 from I-459 in the old Princeton-Hoover location.
Bargain Carousel 2016 will begin on Saturday, April 23 (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Tickets from 8 – 10 a.m. are $10/ticket and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. they are $5/ticket. It continues Sunday, April 24 (1 – 5 p.m.) with free admission and half price merchandise.
“A special note for the Saturday sale, all tickets are numbered, and shoppers will enter Bargain Carousel in the order of their ticket number. I hope I can make it out to the Bargain Bash Thursday night because it looks like there is going to be thousands of pieces that I will want to snatch up for my apartment! Which one do you want to attend? The Junior League of Birmingham and I hope to see you there!!
