“Brother, I’ve seen all kinds of dishonesty in my day, but this little display takes the cake.”

As I get up super early to go somewhere very special today I grabbed my ‘personal bag’ an oversized purse or bag and then a carryon, no checked bag.

Why do I travel in only a carryon you ask?

Well, it helps me make sure not to overpack, I can’t over spend where I go, and I don’t have to pay the fee if my airline has one.

The way I look at it is if I have less space to fill I have to plan out my outfit and I have to bring pieces that I will be able to wear multiple times in different ways. Which gets your style going if you ask me. It also helps this makeup junkie to limit the amount of products she brings to like three blushes and two eyeshadow palettes. Now Lipsticks I can still go overboard. It also keeps the shoe options limited which is the hardest for me. I can pack over 4 pairs of shoes for a 3 day weekend.Β Having a smaller suitcase means I have to be smart or be ready to wear one pair of shoes the entire trip. This girl does not like that option but it can and probably will happen.

I also use to fly smaller aircrafts a lot where a carryon was too big for the over head bins meaning I learned all about Valeting my bag. A beautiful thing and on certain flights I bring a carryon knowing it will be valeted and I will basically check it for free minus all the waiting to drop it off and pick it up.

I also just love how cute a small suitcase is.

All I own personally are carryon suitcases. I will most likely always have more than one. Some are the correct size for a carryon and some are the size that is kinda pushing that size.

Would you travel for a long trip in only a carryon?

P.S. I actually ended up checking my small suitcase because I am flying southwest and they have FREE checked bags!
