The beauty of a friendship is you get to pick them yourself.
Last night we celebrated the promotion of a woman that has meant so much to me the past couple of years. It is sad I won’t see here everyday at work but I am beyond happy to see her continue on her amazing career journey and in our amazing company no less. She is an amazing talented and beautiful woman. She is such an inspiration to me and I know many others. Silver Lining! We now can be real friends that hangout outside of work.
Sometimes you never realize how amazing a person is until they are taken out. Luckily, she won’t be taken out all together but she will be taken out of my work life. Though she will be there for all of us when we need her to be.
It is a blessing and a course to select your own friends. Sometimes you find amazing ones and sometimes you find some who really hurt you. The amazing people I have meet at work are far from what some of you would call perfect but they were exactly the people I needed in my life. I thank the Lord everyday that they were brought into my life. I am thankful that I didn’t even blink when accepting the part time position at my job years ago. I would have never thought in a million years that I would love the people I work with as much as I do.
This Monday post is filled with inner thoughts and my new obsession of flared jeans that I scored at Target!
Cheers to the friends you still have, the friends you have cut ties with, friends whom taught you way too much of what not to do, friends that support you till the cows come home, friends that are like a sibling, and so many more.
